For my first burger blog from Indy, I went to Bub's Burgers & Ice Cream. It's located in the Art District in Carmel right along the Monon Trail. This is a cool little spot surrounded by boutiques and art galleries. When we got inside, the atmosphere was clean and laid back. There were card games on the tables and pictures covering all of the walls. They also had a patio outside where you can sit on nicer days. My server's name was Trey and he was very personable and made great suggestions and took the time to make sure we were all enjoying our visit.
The menu was simple. Bub's is famous for it's Big Ugly Burger! The Big Ugly Burger is 22 ounces. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and cheese. If you can finish the whole thing you get your picture hung up on the wall! Even Adam Richman from Man vs. Food came to Indiana for Bub's Big Ugly Challenge. I obviously cannot eat a whole pound of hamburger in one sitting so I just got the small size burger which was still very scrumptous. The Burgers were cooked to perfection and you could really tell they were made with fresh, good quality ingredients. And the best part is the food is totally affordable! Cheeseburgers Forever is giving Bub's 5 stars!

Hamburger Mary's: Portland, OR
Hamburger Mary's is a decent-sized burger joint/bar/venue on 19 NW 5th Ave. in Portland, OR. It's got the ambiance of a club, but doesn't feel overwhelming or unwelcoming in any way. The walls are covered with memorabilia, including the Beatles art, a picture of Audrey Hepburn, a Wizard of Oz poster, and a catchy slogan "Eat, Drink, and be Mary." The place itself was very clean and the atmosphere was nice. The music wasn't too loud and was playing some actual good tunes. There were also two different movies or tv stations to watch on tvs in the bar, and a projection screen tv on the stage.
My server's name was Sarah and she was very helpful. She recommended that I try the Queen Mary which was a single patty burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions, lettuce and a special sauce. And to top it off, the burger was made with local ingredients.
I don't know if you can tell, but it was absolutely delcious. The bun was still warm and tasted amazing. The fries were seasoned with what tasted like cajun seasoning and they were hot and equally tasty. I'd rate this burger experience 5/5 out of the following categories: service, deliciousness of the burger, delicious looking-ness (presentation, can you eat this with your hands?) of the burger, cleanliness of the place, and overall satisfaction.
